The Grid Waves
Strategic site for a branding agency—built to filter out low-budget leads, reinforce premium positioning, and drive high-ticket inquiries.
Context
The Grid Waves had been doing some really impressive identity and packaging work—mostly for D2C brands—but all their business came through Instagram. No site, no formal portfolio, no real funnel. Just DMs and referrals.
Which worked… until it didn’t.
As they started charging premium rates and taking on bigger clients, they ran into a problem: They looked early-stage online—even though their work said otherwise.
The team was spending 6+ hours a week qualifying leads, repeating answers about process and pricing, and weeding out “logo-for-$200” types. They needed more than a website. They needed a filter, a trust-builder, and a sales asset.

The Challenge
They were doing premium-level work—but didn’t look the part. And that mismatch was costing them opportunities with the kind of clients they were built for.
Without a site, The Grid Waves had zero leverage in conversations.
No structure to show their work. No way to control perception. And nothing to pre-frame value before a pricing conversation. That meant high-friction sales calls and a ton of wasted time.
What We Set Out to Do
We knew the goal wasn’t just to “make them look good”—it was to change how founders felt about the studio before ever getting on a call.
So we focused on:
Positioning the agency as a premium, strategic partner (not a “design vendor”)
Filtering out low-budget leads automatically
Streamlining the inquiry process so only serious prospects made it through
Earning trust fast—without a single DM reply
We elevated their perceived value through intentional design choices, storytelling, and UX patterns that matched the quality of their portfolio.
Our Process
We started by researching how top branding studios across India and globally positioned themselves. And the big insight?
Most looked great—but said nothing.
There was a lot of style, but not enough substance. Case studies were vague. CTAs were buried. Messaging was either too technical or way too fluffy.
So we flipped the script.
We crafted the site layout and flow based on how modern D2C founders browse, vet, and reach out to agencies—prioritizing clarity, trust signals, and momentum toward inquiry. Every section on the site had a purpose: to build trust, prove value, and guide visitors toward reaching out—clear, intentional, and distraction-free.
UI & Visual Direction
Their brand identity was already solid—deep teals, neutrals, sharp type. Our job wasn’t to redo it. It was to translate that identity into a conversion-friendly layout.
We created a modular system that’s simple, scroll-friendly, and built to scale:
Minimal page count, high clarity per section
Scroll-guided storytelling with sharp visual breaks
Clear CTAs—nothing buried, everything intentional
Built on Framer, fully responsive, and founder-editable
Bonus: we integrated their Notion database directly into the contact flow—so submissions land exactly where they’re already working.
The Results
Within weeks of launch, The Grid Waves went from no web presence to a site that looks and feels like a high-ticket agency. Founders now land with context—click, explore, and take the next step without a single DM reply. The site speaks first, filters fast, and frames their value before pricing comes up.
Even better: the quality of leads changed.
Instead of chasing budget misfits, they were talking to serious D2C founders, already familiar with their value, timeline, and pricing range.
Transformation
The Grid Waves went from no digital presence to a site that instantly positioned them alongside top-tier global agencies. Within 30 days, 108 decision-makers visited—and 26 landed on the Contact page. Two initiated the form, resulting in a 1.8% form-start rate, on par with e-commerce standards.
Direct traffic spiked (86 visits), social brought in 30 sessions with zero ads, and bounce rates dropped. This wasn’t just a new website—it was a credibility engine.
Before
No site. Just DMs, word of mouth, and time-wasting inquiries.
After
A clean, premium, trust-building site that speaks for them.
Why This Matters
Most creative agencies pour everything into their client work, but neglect their own positioning.
What this project shows is that a smart, well-positioned site doesn’t just make you look good—it makes sales easier. It saves time. It builds trust before you ever hop on a call.
If you’re an agency or studio still relying on DMs and Notion links to sell your services, you’re probably leaving money (and sanity) on the table.
Final Takeaway
Great design isn’t just visual—it’s strategic. The right site can change who reaches out, how they see your value, and how easy it is to say yes to working with you.
STILL SCROLLING?
